Tennis participation increases significantly

Tennis participation at Bedales has increased significantly this year and last weekend 14 students from Blocks 5 to 6.2 completed their two-day Level 1 coaching qualification, the first step on the tennis coaching ladder, enabling them to help coach younger pupils. Bedales full-time tennis coach, Graeme Coulter hopes to run a tennis leaders course for Block 3 and 4 pupils later this year.

This week in boys’ hockey the U15s beat Frensham Heights 3-0 with a very good and dominant performance and the U14s lost 2-1 in a very competitive fixture, with Frensham Heights scoring in the last minute of the game. Both the U16s and the 1st team lost to Frensham Heights and Ryde School respectively.
The girls netball teams played seven matches this week against Ryde School and Churcher’s College. The girls played well but found the matches tough, with the U14B team winning our only game v Ryde 26-19. More on Bedales Sport.
