Great effort shown in Ruby, Hockey and Netball

In boys’ rugby this week, the U16s beat Box Hill 23-7 in a competitive game, with excellent tries from a number of players, in particular Oscar Burns. The U18s lost to Box Hill 30-5 in a good match. Both teams played well in a competitive game; however during the last 10 minutes Box Hill scored a couple of tries to seal their win. The U14 hockey team lost to Seaford and the U15s lost 3-1 to Portsmouth Grammar School in a very competitive game that either side could have won.

Bedales School

On Monday evening, 12 girls from Bedales and Dunhurst watched Surrey Storm take on the Celtic Dragons in a Netball Superleague match at Surrey Sports Park. Watching an elite match was a great learning experience for the girls and they were happy to see Surrey Storm win 74-50 and maintain 2nd place in the Superleague.

This week, the four girls’ netball teams played Portsmouth Grammar, facing some tough opposition. The 1st team had a tough game but the 2nds made a great come back after being seven goals down to only lose by one goal in the final minute of the game. It was a great team performance from the 2nds with Becky Grub (U14) making her debut for the team. The U14s also had tough matches with the A team losing to a strong side and the B’s working hard to compete against a well organised PGS team. More on Bedales Sport.
